Plagiarism Policy
The journal Moturidiylik is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, and improper reuse of ideas or data, are considered unethical and unacceptable.
✅ Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is defined as presenting the work of others (data, text, images, or ideas) as one’s own without proper acknowledgment, in accordance with the definitions of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
✅ Types of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

Direct plagiarism

Mosaic (patchwork) plagiarism

Self-plagiarism (text recycling)

Duplicate and redundant publication

Salami publication
✅ Similarity Check
All submitted manuscripts are screened for originality using recognized anti-plagiarism software (including Antiplag.uz and other similarity detection tools).

The acceptable similarity threshold is not more than 15% (excluding references).

Manuscripts exceeding this limit may be rejected without review or returned for correction.
✅ Handling of Plagiarism Cases
In cases where plagiarism is suspected, the journal follows the COPE guidelines. Actions may include:

Requesting explanation from the author(s)

Rejection of the manuscript

Publication of a correction, expression of concern, or retraction

Notification of the author’s institution, if necessary
✅ Secondary Publication and Preprints
Secondary publication, translation, or reuse of previously published material is permitted only when:

The original source is properly cited

The editor is informed at the time of submission

The publication complies with ICMJE recommendations
✅ Editorial Independence
Decisions regarding plagiarism are made solely on the basis of ethical standards, regardless of the author’s institutional affiliation, nationality, reputation, or ability to pay publication fees.
✅ Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work. Proper citation, quotation, and permission for reused materials are mandatory.
